Social Worker Safety

By Rachel L. West
Advocacy & Community Outreach Consultant

In the wake of social worker Lara Sobel’s murder, NASW Present Angelo McClain appeared on Vermont Public Radio. In the interview McClain addressed the issue of social worker safety. You can listen to a recording of the interview here.

On the organization’s Facebook page, NASW shared a link to a guide on social work workplace safety. You can read it below.

I’m interested in hearing your thoughts on the guide as well as how you feel your employer is with addressing workplace safety. Please share your thoughts in the comment section.

  1. Love the suggestions. Our agency is big in safety for staff as well as clients. We try to keep reminding staff basic rules about their safety while doing home visits. Thank you
