Live Tweeting The 2014 State of The Union

Once again I will be joining Social Work Helper on Twitter to live tweet the 2014 State of the Union address. The State of the Union will take place on Tuesday January 28th at 9PM Eastern. If you want to share your perspective as a social worker make sure to include the hashtags #swhelpercom #swhelper and #SOTU in your tweets. You can follow me on Twitter at @poliSW and Social Work Helper at @swhelpercom.

The White House will also be offering what they call an “enhanced” view of the State of The Union that you can watch online. What exactly is an “enhanced” view? Essentially this is a slide presentation that runs alongside the live feed of the speech to illustrate President Obama’s key points. You can find out more about this on whitehouse.gov.

You can discover facts about the history of the State of the Union by reading this article that I wrote for last years address.

What topics are you hoping to hear President Obama address tomorrow evening? I want to hear him address income inequality and comprehensive immigration reform. May concern is how he will get anything of substance done this year given that the GOP controlled House is bent on ignoring legislation supported by the White House.
