Human Investment Wins NASW Recognition

Human Investment is 2016 NASW Media Awards’ Winner for Documentary

Human Investment, a documentary by Sherry Saturno, has been recognized by the National Association of Social Worker (NASW). The short film took home the award in the Documentary category of the 2016 NASW Media Awards. The awards are held annually in recognition of media professionals and outlets that raise awareness about social work and social work issues.

Human investment examines what drives social workers and other professionals to dedicate their lives to helping others. The film features the several interviews with helping professionals who discuss what motivated them to pursue work in healthcare.

Bio:
Sherry Saturno, LCSW, DCSW is a Westchester County District Leader (Tarrytown, NY-Democrat) who works in nursing home administration. She holds Master’s degrees from Columbia and Long Island Universities and is a Stanford University Certified Project Manager. Sherry completed a national social work leadership fellowship at New York University Silver School of Social Work, and was selected for the National Association of Social Workers Award for Social Worker of the Year on state and county levels.
