Get Out The Vote

By Rachel L. West
Advocacy & Community Outreach Consultant

It’s Election Day and if the pollsters are right we will be seeing a tight race for control of the US Senate. Right now the Democrats hold the senate with a narrow margin but that can all change come January.

There are 10  states with close Senate races:  Alaska, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Arkansas, and Kentucky.

Additionally there are 11 hotly contested Governor races: Alaska, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Massachusetts, Maine, Michigan and Wisconsin.

I will be live tweeting starting at 9:00 PM Eastern using hashtags #election2014 and #MacroSW. You can follow me on Twitter @poliSW.

Rock The Vote has an excellent searchable database that to help users locate their polling place and learn more about what is on the ballot. You can access it here.
